..They married in July 2000...Ivy was pregnant in beg of 2001...in the midst of giving birth Ivy insisted on staying in A1 class( est $200k) and the child was born in dec 2001...divorce proceeding was file in 2002 and divorce ended finally 3 years later a 2005...U need 3 years separation without mutual consent..It was he who filed the divorce..for mutual consent I think can be shorter..i'm not a divorcee so i just write base on Adrain's feedback...the trauma started after thye birth-initiation of EPO,child maintenance,division of assets,child access and all ancilliary matter...

Why 50 days ?
Why 200K ?
A class A ward only charge about $300 per day.
50 days will cost about 15K

So even if you add everything up including delivery charges.
The total cost cannot be more than 50K.

Now, where does the 150K comes from ?

Giving birth doesn't require so many hospital stays.

I remember my friend was back home only after 4 days stays.
And her husband put her in a class A/private room so that she has some privacy and better service. It didn't cost them a bomb, because it was such a short stay.
Was there any complications ?

Or are you just inflating the costs to sensationalize his plight ?

I 'm not siding Adrain but just stating the facts..at the maternity ward...Ivy still refused to disclose her Thalsimma condition but claimed to be anemic only...it's only that when the nurse involved in financial counselling estimated the 50 day day in A1 ward to be ab $200,000...not so simplistic as what jojo stated $300 per day so 50 day only $15000 only...She forget to include specialist doctors ,medicine,...and Ivy's mum insisted on rooming in( another ab $40 per day)..plus the child was jaundiced and premature....even simple calculation will tell U that $200k is certainly possible...this was not made by Adrain but the staff nurse.

It's only in actual affidavit then Ivy revealed her Thalsimma condition and the total amount child plus ailmony insisted $3700 per month.

I like most of U may not be familiar with court procedures and what's the point of telling a fictitious story for the fun of it...unlikley lah..besides I gain nothing but bthe only consolation is that at least the public aware that some women are abusing the LAW..

If you keep wanting to insist the 200K was due to Ivy insisting on taking a Class A ward, perhaps you may want to break down the charges so we can see clearly why it cost so much.

You cannot blame Ivy if the extra charges are due to special treatment because the baby has jaundice or there was a complication in her delivery and require special surgery / care.
These special care needs to be given for both of them to LIVE. YOU CAN'T STINGE ON THESE.

If it is just an estimate by the nurse, what is the ACTUAL cost ?

No law in the world is perfect, every system is open to abuse.

Like I mentioned before, Adrian has a recourse for Ivy's harrassment, but since he chose not to pursue that recourse, why is he still complaining ?

Ivy went to Inland Revenue to make false report that Adrain did not report tax triggering off an investigation,went to HDB again false report that he made noise so as to prevent him for doing simple biz in his flat only to have his neighbours ( I’m one of them) backing him that they were not disturbed at all…get S’pore Power to cut off his utilities so as to inconvenient him…..just imagine 30 SMS everyday by Ivy to curse and threatened Adrain…blocked his access to his newborn….landed him in police locked up as both Ivy and her mum self inflicted injuries on themselves…made false report that adrain raped her and video taped the acts to blackmail her from claiming a share of the matrimonial home where she did not contribute a single cent and the marriage lasted less than a year…what a cheap skate women…JOJO are U in same shoes as Ivy hence the vehement support for her?..

Look, if the birth is high risk for both mother and child, chosing C-section may save their lives. It is NOT up to Ivy to decide a emergency C-section, the DOCTOR has to decide in high risk cases.

Since Ivy has Thalasemia, she knows that she is taking a HUGE risk by going C-section by choice. She could have died !!! For gawd sake.
